Tour Plan
After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive at Arusha National Park with a picnic lunch. Despite being one of Tanzania's smaller parks, it boasts diverse wildlife and landscapes, from the swampy Ngurdoto Crater and alkaline lakes to dense jungles and the peaks of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro. In the afternoon, enjoy a 2-hour forest hike at the base of Mount Meru to Tululusia waterfall, offering stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to Arusha in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.
Depart from your hotel and drive 115km to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Discover the park’s major attractions, including large elephant herds, tree-climbing pythons, and majestic baobab trees. Spot lions, leopards, and other wildlife drinking from the Tarangire River. After a day of exploration, drive to Marera View Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Begin your day early with breakfast at 6:30 am, then head to the Ngorongoro Crater floor. Experience the chance to see all the Big Five and various bird species, including the rare black rhino. Enjoy lunch within the crater, surrounded by nature and flamingos. Marvel at the world’s largest inactive and intact volcanic caldera, renowned as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. The crater is home to over 7,000 wildebeests, 6,000 hyenas, 4,000 zebras, 3,000 elands, 3,000 gazelles, 300 elephants, 55 lions, 30 black rhinos, and many smaller animals. Conclude the day by driving to Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, traverse the rugged road to Lake Eyasi, another soda lake in the Rift Valley. Arrive in the afternoon for a cultural interaction with the Tatoga tribe, guided by a local. Explore the area on foot, inhabited by the Hadzabe or Watindiga bushmen, who live by hunting and gathering. Learn about the Datoga tribe, known for their historic rivalry with the Maasai over grazing land. In the evening, return to Marera View Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive, where you can see tree-climbing lions and flamingos. Visit the hot springs within the park. In the afternoon, explore Mto wa Mbu village, where four African language groups converge, offering a unique cultural experience. Visit a Maasai boma, engage with the local community, and hike the Rift Valley wall for views of Lake Manyara. Conclude the tour with a drive back to Arusha for an overnight stay.
